It’s not news that Saudi customers are digital savvy, or that they have a higher than the global average number of people accessing the internet.
What is news is that 70 percent of Saudis have more than one connected device, Facebook and Twitter usage are in decline, and more private peer-to-peer networks such as Snapchat have increased by 900 percent.
What’s more, the Saudi customer is now also using their mobile first – for product research, watching videos, or searching for assistance with products. Not only are Saudis doing research about products and watching videos, they are also making purchases online -online shopping has increased by 13.2 percent with an increase of 30 percent in online spending.
