We see more movement towards smart cities in other GCC countries, people addicted to technology and using applications. We are seeing a lot of mergers in real estate companies, which is creating a lot more strength. We see many trends of professionalism and capacity building programmes. A lot of work on elevating the standard. The whole region is going through an exceptional transformation period which is something good for the real estate industry.
That is what is exciting about CX - it is constantly evolving. As CX practitioners we all strive to know and understand what CX best practice is; while its great seeing this shared in Dubai, the reality is that many CX challenges are global.
We are seeing some momentum and hearing conversations on customer experience. At the moment we see that as noise, which, we need to convert into music. For every problem there is a solution and for every solution there is a technology, fact.
If the UAE and the region want to get better at getting to another level of Economic development and diversification, then HR is at the centre of this. People are resistant to change and it is only when there is a bit of a crisis or uncertainty, that people are open to accept different ways of working or doing things. Instead of importing talent from Europe, America or South-East Asia, The UAE and GCC wants to get to a point where it can be seen as a hub for developing talent, you come here because of the diversity, the ambition of the region, the innovation of the leadership.

Customer experience is all about giving your people the ability to think. If someone asks you for something, why not, why can’t you do it? No one is stopping you. So much is about a state of mind in an organisation that is giving you the ability to do what is right.
If an organisation wants to excel, then it is very, very important that they look at opportunities to continuously and regularly listen to their customers. Understand what they are saying and try to measure the change that is achieved over the customers journey.
