In the spirit of strengthening ties between the UK and Saudi Arabia, public sector experts Serco and Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group (HMG) have agreed to “expand and develop” their partnership.
The announcement was made by Hesham Al Habib, Vice President of Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, and David J Greer, the Chief Executive Officer of Serco Middle East, during the visit of His Royal Highness Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to London.
In 2013, Serco Middle East, a subsidiary of Serco Group PLC, entered into a joint venture with Dr Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group, creating Serco Saudi Services, with the initial purpose of delivering Integrated Facilities Management in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Over the past four years, working in collaboration with HMG, Serco has achieved excellent performance levels across eight non-clinical services and has brought its international experience to enhance the skills and experience of the workforce, through training programmes and targeted professional development, and has innovated the delivery of the service through the implementation of technology including a Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system.
Following this successful phase of Serco Saudi Services (SSS), Serco and HMG are seeking to expand and further develop their partnership to participate in attaining the Saudi 2030 Vision goals. SSS will work across government initiatives, in the education, transport, and healthcare sectors to provide Integrated Facilities Management to new infrastructure projects including Public Private Partnerships.
