The Director General of the Dubai Land Department has been revealed as the host of the 2018 Gulf Real Estate Awards.

HE Sultan Butti Bin Mejren will join Awards International UAE to host the gala two-day celebration on March 20 – 21, when leading industry figures from across the Gulf will descend on Dubai for what is the most significant event in the Middle East’s real estate events calendar.

Sultan Butti Bin Mejren is Dubai’s foremost figure when it comes to property, and for over 10 years has been at the forefront of dramatic changes to the city’s world-famous skyline.

His role at the head of the Dubai Land Department means his expertise in real estate – in both Dubai, the wider UAE, and further afield – means no-one is more qualified to present awards to the winners of this year’s categories, which this year include Best Luxury and Affordable Real Estate Project, Best Marketing Campaign, and Best Employer.

The judging panel for 2018 contains a line-up of real estate experts, government figures, and widely recognised industry personalities, including Mohammad Shadi Hamwi, CEO and Chief Architect of First Art Engineering Consultancy; Mohammed Khalifa Bin Hammad, the Senior Director of the Real Estate Relations Regulatory Agency; and close colleague of Sultan Butti Bin Mejren, Dr Ishtar Jasim Al Yasri, the Media Office Manager with the Dubai Land Department.

Meanwhile, partnering the awards this year are organisations including the Dubai Real Estate Institute, Biznet Consulting, and Construction Business News, among others. Click here for a full list of awards partners.

Awards International UAE Managing Director Mark Hamill said:

“We are thrilled to have the expertise of Sultan Butti Bin Mejren with us for this year’s Gulf Real Estate Awards. His role is one of the most important in real estate anywhere in the Middle East, due to Dubai’s prominent position at the centre of this exciting and innovative industry.
As we continue into 2018, the real estate sector shows no sign of slowing down in Dubai or the wider Middle East. This continued growth places the Gulf Real Estate Awards at the forefront of the movement to reward and celebrate those who strive to innovate and construct the landscape of the future.”
