Sitecore has announced the launch of the Sitecore AI Innovation Lab, a new program designed in partnership with Microsoft. This move provides a collaborative and guided environment for marketers to experiment with artificial intelligence (AI) solutions tailored to their unique content and operational needs.

Powered by Microsoft Azure and Azure OpenAI Services, the lab aims to reduce the risk and uncertainty marketers often associate with AI adoption.

Many marketing teams are eager to explore AI but remain cautious due to concerns over return on investment and the potential for failed implementations. In Sitecore’s Websites 2025 Report, 97% of marketing executives said AI is a priority, yet teams still spend up to 85% of their time on manual content and operational tasks.

The AI Innovation Lab directly addresses these concerns by offering a low-risk, high-reward opportunity to co-create and test AI-powered solutions. Sitecore and Microsoft experts partner with participants to rapidly prototype applications that align with their business goals.

In addition, the lab emphasises agility and efficiency, helping marketers build a validated AI solution or gather key insights to shape future strategies.

By lowering the barrier to entry, Sitecore also allows organisations to confidently begin their AI journey without heavy upfront commitments. The goal is to accelerate AI adoption, empower marketers with intelligent tools, and give brands a competitive edge in today’s digital landscape.

Outcomes from the lab may also contribute to Sitecore’s product evolution. AI solutions developed through the lab will be integrated into Sitecore’s Digital Experience Platform (DXP), strengthening the company’s broader strategy to future-proof its platform and stay ahead in AI innovation.
