Lloyds Banking Group Wins Four Awards at UKEXA 2026, Including Best Health and Wellbeing

Lloyds Banking UK EXA

Lloyds Banking Group had one of the busiest nights at the UK Employee Experience Awards 2026, held at Park Plaza Riverbank, London, on 9 July, picking up four medals: silver for Best Use of Technology and Ethical Implementation of AI, and gold for Best Employee Driven CSR and Best Health and Wellbeing.

Speaking to CXM, Matthew Lodge, Product Owner, credited the technology and AI wins to a generative AI HR system launched around 18 months ago, built to improve how colleagues access HR content and resolve queries through self-service, rather than routing everything through a human team.

Matthew Nolan, Community Engagement Manager, pointed to the bank’s partnership with the charity Crisis as the driver behind the CSR win, describing it as a deliberate alignment between the bank’s purpose of helping Britain prosper and a charity partner with a closely matched mission.

Karl Wilson, Health and Wellbeing Manager, took the gold for Best Health and Wellbeing back to a simple principle: treating wellbeing as something embedded across the business, not an optional extra. That distinction, between wellbeing as infrastructure versus wellbeing as a perk, is increasingly what separates award-winning entries from the rest.
