Salesforce has pledged to invest USD $1 billion in Singapore over the next five years, a strategic move aimed at accelerating the nation’s digital transformation and bolstering the adoption of its innovative Agentforce platform.

This commitment aligns with Singapore’s National AI Strategy 2.0, positioning the country as a key player in global AI innovation.

As Salesforce’s importance in Singapore grows, this investment addresses the nation’s labour market challenges, particularly amid an ageing population and declining birth rates. Using Agentforce, businesses can deploy intelligent digital agents that operate 24/7, enhancing productivity and driving growth across various sectors.

Mr Jermaine Loy, managing director of the Singapore Economic Development Board said: “Singapore welcomes Salesforce’s investment, which will boost our ongoing efforts to build a vibrant hub for AI innovation and adoption across our economy. Salesforce’s initiatives in AI research and workforce development will strengthen our ecosystem by catalysing innovation for key industries and corporates based in Singapore.”

Industries-wide collaboration

The collaboration between Salesforce and Singapore Airlines marks a significant milestone, with plans to integrate Agentforce, Einstein in Service Cloud, and Data Cloud into the airline’s customer case management system. This partnership aims to deliver personalised and consistent service to customers while co-developing AI solutions at Salesforce’s AI Research hub in Singapore.

Salesforce’s expansion of its Hyperforce services will also provide local data residency for Data Cloud and Agentforce applications, ensuring compliance with local regulations. This move is crucial for industries such as government, financial services, and telecommunications, reinforcing trust and security for clients.

To further support the workforce of the future, Salesforce is refreshing its Singapore office to include an Agentforce activation space for hands-on demonstrations and training. Collaborating with local educational institutions, Salesforce aims to equip students with in-demand CRM and AI skills through initiatives like Trailhead, its free training platform.

Salesforce’s commitment to community engagement is exemplified by its 1-1-1 model of corporate philanthropy, dedicating 1% of the company’s equity, employee time, and products to giving back. Over the last two decades, Salesforce Singapore has contributed over $2 million to local non-profits and logged more than 190,000 hours of volunteer work.
