Liferay’s digital experience platform powers a growing number of global businesses, and European customers flocked to WeWork at Waterloo in central London for the Liferay Customer Experience Summit 2025. The event flung together digital leaders, developers, and customer experience professionals for a day of insight, innovation, and networking.
The summit showcased Liferay’s commitment to act as a “constant partner” for customers. Revealing the latest in digital experience platform (DXP) evolution with AI integration, and customer-centric strategies top of the agenda.
Beyond the welcome from GM Mike MacAuley, CMO Bryan Cheung’s keynote on navigating complexity, and presentations and customer success stories, panels focused on Liferay’s new features and benefits. New partnerships were announced, and more resources committed to add value to customers.
The Circle of Liferay’s Personalisation
A key topic with the rise of AI-powered personalisation, with new features to add value across digital and customer experience. Examples included how machine learning is refining and tailoring content delivery. And, how Liferay improves customer journeys through personalisation across touchpoints and platforms. Director of Product Management, Julia Molano talked to CXM about Liferay’s portable cloud and AI agnostic approach, with a highly composable approaching allowing customers to use Liferay wherever they liked. She also discussed the growth in no/low-code adoption features helping improve across-the-business collaboration for Liferay users.
Customers shared their digital experiences. IPC EMEA, highlighted the speed at which they could deploy and scale up Liferay across their supply chain for food outlet Subway’s customer business. All while delivering multilingual support, strong data alignment and engagement easily.
Further topics of discussion included sustainability and digital values highlighted the need for ethical digital transformation, improved data privacy, accessibility, and the environmental impact of digital infrastructure, all a part of Liferay’s broader commitment to responsible innovation.
