Deloitte has launched a new Agentic AI Blueprint aimed at helping telecom companies unlock up to $150 billion in value over the next five years through advanced automation and intelligent systems.

Designed to move telcos past the pilot stage and into scalable implementation, the blueprint provides a clear framework for embedding AI across key functions, including network management, billing to service delivery and customer support.

Unlike conventional AI solutions that offer incremental gains, agentic AI is able to create systems that reason, adapt, and act autonomously across the enterprise.

According to Deloitte, this level of automation is no longer theoretical. With rising operational complexity and profit pressures, telcos are in a strong position to benefit from more ambitious AI deployments that streamline workflows and improve responsiveness.

Baris Sarer, telecom, media and entertainment, and technology industry AI leader, Deloitte Consulting LLP, said: “To move beyond pilots and drive modernisation, telcos can utilise a clear, scalable path to embed AI across their operations. Deloitte’s Agentic AI Blueprint provides organisations the tools to help build and scale agentic AI solutions quickly, and efficiently.”

The blueprint is built on TM Forum’s enhanced telecom operations map (eTOM) and integrates Deloitte’s proprietary industry data, offering a library of telecom-specific AI workflows, prioritisation models, and deployment playbooks. It also includes automated tools for process engineering and is designed to work within existing telecom infrastructure.

By aligning AI strategy with operations and partnering with major cloud and tech providers, Deloitte believes its Agentic AI approach can help telecom executives cut through barriers to adoption and capture significant efficiencies in service quality, speed, and scale.
