Gulf Sustainability Awards 2025 Overall Winner - Salik

The Gulf Sustainability Awards returned to Dubai this September, recognising organisations driving impact across environmental, social and governance practices in the region. Now in its ninth year, the programme evaluated entries across 26 categories, combining written submissions with live presentations before an independent judging panel.

This year’s overall winner was Dubai’s toll-gate operator, Salik Company, which also secured gold in the Best Sustainability Business Model category and silver in the Best ESG category. The company’s performance stood out for embedding sustainability directly into its operating model and demonstrating progress on ESG measures that matter to regulators, investors, and customers alike.

Among the other winners were Dammam Airports Company, Oman Water & Wastewater Services, Catrion, and TAQA Water Solutions, reflecting the breadth of industries advancing sustainability in the region. Categories ranged from carbon reduction and circular economy to employee engagement and community development, showcasing the different ways organisations are responding to global and local sustainability challenges.
