UserTesting Rolls Out AI-Powered Verification to Bolster Trust in Customer Insights

UserTesting has introduced a new AI-driven fraud prevention capability, UserTesting Verified, aimed at helping enterprises ensure their customer research is based on genuine human feedback.

The system blends machine learning with geolocation technology to improve data reliability, reduce fraudulent participation, and enable faster, more confident decision-making.

The company, known for delivering human insights to enterprises worldwide, said the new feature establishes a higher standard for research quality and trust. When it comes to CX, reliable data is essential for organisations as it reduces risk while enabling faster product launches and a more precise strategy.

A Dual-Layer Approach

At the core of UserTesting Verified is a dual-layer approach. A purpose-built AI engine works alongside behavioural and geolocation checks to detect VPN use with 40% greater accuracy, flag suspicious activity, and identify fraud patterns. Instead of relying solely on automation, UserTesting’s in-house operations experts review flagged cases, ensuring that ethical oversight remains part of the process.

This hybrid system operates across the entire testing journey, from participant onboarding to session entry. According to UserTesting, the system reduced moderated session no-shows to 4.1%, a figure that leads the industry and directly benefits customers by minimising research delays.

The launch follows UserTesting’s wider investment in scaling trustworthy insights at a time when customer experience has become a critical differentiator. In addition to fraud prevention, the company continues to enhance its platform with features such as AI-driven sentiment tagging, highlight reel creation, and a central insights repository, tools designed to help teams act on feedback quickly without compromising quality.
